Check out this wonderful update from Suzanne Wills on the work of "The Piecemakers Quilting Group" of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Alliance, Nebraska.
The group completed two hundred and seventy-eight (278) quilts. Thirty-eight (38) of the tops were made from donations of material from Grace Lutheran Church. One hundred and sixty-four (164) quilts were sent to Luthern World Relief distribution center in Minnesota. Fifty-two (52) lap quilts were donated to area rest homes and the VA center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Sixty-two (62) baby quilts were distributed to the local hospital, fire, and police departments. We also gave baby quilts to the DOVE program which serves victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. With all our hard work and dedication, we had a very successful year.
