Our February 2026 Chuck It In The Bucket Recipient is The First 72+, a local program to assist previously incarcerated people in transitioning successfully back into society. The first 72 hours after being released from prison are crucial. This group has operated for 10 years, assisted over 4,500 people and have had more than 200 people use their transitional housing program. They are located at 2915 Perdido Street in New Orleans. Services offered include case mgmt, training on life skills, technology and culinary careers, public benefits clinic and access to low interest loans.
